    Remarks: An art review of the painting of Madonna reprinted in Probasi. It maintains that the worship of the figure of the maternal in Madonna is indirectly a worship of power only, a take on Christanity which reveres God as a paternal figure quite contrary to Hindu deism of the 'maternal'.
